Hi! My name is Ashley Vazquez and I am currently enrolled at Texas State University. I am a Digital Media Innovations major with a sports media concentration and a Media Studies minor. I enrolled at Texas State right after high school for the 2023-2024 school year. Originally, I enrolled to study Interior Design but found myself having a further passion for the digital aspect of art. Digital Media Innovations allowed me to express this passion further and has now become my calling.
I now work at the Texas State Student Recreation Center as part of their Marketing team. I am very grateful for this opportunity because it allows me to work with the media aspects of design through programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. It has also challenged me to leave my shy character behind by having to attend events where sponsors for the Recreation Center need to be asked questions and have their picture taken. I am enjoying my time there as it gives me a real-world view on what I can achieve with my education.
Next to me you will see a photograph of me in high school where I announced which college I was attending. Come along and recap how my years at Texas State went by clicking the links at the top!
